Got her to the airport without problem. She seemed low pain, so that was good. I dropped her off outside by the Air Canada assistance kiosk - in the smoking area. Then I drove off to park.
On the way walking back to her with her luggage, I saw an unused Air Canada wheelchair on the parkade. COOL!
I threw her suitcase into the seat and wheeled it to her.
When we checked in at AC they were awesomely helpful - even offering to carry her up the stairs to the plane. Wow. That's service!
Then they wheeled her to ... and through ... security and down to her gate.
Bye Momma. Xox Safe trip.
She phoned later from Skidegate, where they'd stopped to get her some frozen peas to ice her leg. Ha ha. All went smoothly and perfectly.
I'd been worried because she had to be vertical and up for her longest period since the surgery, but she did great.
Yay!
