We rushed home from work Friday - after a quick dance practice - & started packing and carting stuff down to storage. We went until around 10. Then we watched a bit of TV then went to bed.
This morning we awoke early then dragged ourselves out of bed at 7:20. I tried to make scrambled eggs while Clint went out for Starbucks I had packed all the dishes n cutlery. So I called Clint to tell him to grab us a couple of wraps.
We RAN all day packing and moving. Paul came n how'd for a few hours as did Melissa. Lorne came for the la-z-boy. He and Clint left with it. Clint was gone an extraordinarily long time. I knew he was having a hard time coping with the stress so I didn't phone him to return until Melissa n I were starving.
We moved until about 7 pm, then went with a last carful to Jim n Sharon's. Clint was going to shower then we were off to Lorne n Pam's. unfortunately, Clint missed some clothes and had conniptions over where they might be. I had to go back home to search for them. I looked everywhere then returned. No luck. Clint still INSISTED that they were in a laundry basket. ... Do back i went again to old place. This time i even dragged through the garbage bin. Then I unlocked the storage container and started unpacking it! I got about 1/3 of the items out but still no clothing. However, I did find EMPTY the laundry basket he was referring to. I nabbed that and texted Clint that I was SURE that he'd packed them elsewhere. It took me 40 min to track the bin!!
Then upon my return back to Jim n Sharon's Clint texts me that he now recalls putting them together in a different place. Just as I had suspected all along!!
I think he was just playing me along to try to frustrate me. He did a great job!!
Anyhow we are 99% out. Even the cleaning's done. Clint was amazing fir that! He was wonder-cleaner. Now all we have is just last minute spot checking, painting over the picture holes I filled, and to empty the parkade locker. (Which will likely be one last nightmare.)
All in all a successful day, really. Despite being killer-exhausting.
